Recovery Basics
In many cases, yes. Every blockchain transaction is permanently recorded and publicly traceable. Our forensics team follows the trail of stolen funds across wallets, chains, and exchanges. When funds reach a regulated exchange, we work through legal channels to freeze and return them. Recovery is not guaranteed in every case, and we will tell you honestly at the assessment stage whether your case is recoverable.
We handle three main categories: scam and fraud recovery (romance scams, investment fraud, pig butchering, rug pulls, fake exchanges), wallet and password recovery (forgotten passwords, lost seed phrases, damaged hardware wallets), and corporate blockchain forensics (asset tracing, AML investigations, litigation support). If your situation does not fit neatly into one of these, contact us — we assess every case individually.
Blockchain transactions are pseudonymous, not anonymous. Every transfer is permanently recorded on a public ledger. Our analysts use specialist tools to trace fund movements across wallet addresses, identify exchange deposit addresses, follow cross-chain bridges, and de-anonymise the entities behind transactions. When funds reach a regulated exchange we can request account freezes and returns through legal channels.
We do not publish an inflated headline success rate. Recovery success depends heavily on case type, how quickly a case is reported, and how the funds were moved. Wallet recovery cases where the client has partial credentials succeed in most cases. Scam recovery cases depend on whether funds reached a regulated exchange before being withdrawn to cash. We give you an honest probability assessment after reviewing your specific case.
We generally focus on cases where the recoverable amount is at least $5,000 USD equivalent. Below this threshold the economics of a full recovery operation rarely make sense for either party. If your case is below this level we will say so clearly at the assessment stage and may be able to suggest alternative resources.
The Process
Submit your details through our secure Report a Case form, call us directly on +1 (213) 550-0392, or reach us on WhatsApp. Provide as much detail as possible — wallet addresses, transaction IDs, platform names, amounts, and dates. All information is treated in strict confidence.
The more detail you can provide the better, but partial information is always a starting point. Useful information includes: the wallet addresses involved, any transaction IDs or hashes, the platform or person funds were sent to, any communications with the scammer or platform, and approximate dates and amounts. For wallet recovery cases, any partial passwords or seed words you can remember are also valuable.
We review every submitted case and respond within 24 hours. In many cases the initial assessment comes back within a few hours of receipt. We will tell you whether the case is viable, how we would approach it, the likely timeline, and the fee structure — all before you commit to anything.
Wallet and password recovery cases typically take between 24 hours and 2 weeks depending on complexity. Scam and fraud recovery cases generally take 3 to 8 weeks, depending on how many exchanges and jurisdictions are involved. Corporate forensics engagements range from 2 to 12 weeks. We provide regular progress updates throughout every case.
Yes. Police involvement is often a positive — it creates an official record and opens legal channels for exchange cooperation. We work alongside law enforcement, not in conflict with it. We can also help prepare documentation that strengthens an existing police report or supports a civil legal claim.
This is common and does not necessarily end recovery prospects. Many scammers convert crypto to fiat through regulated exchanges — which leaves a traceable record that we can use to initiate legal recovery proceedings. We follow the trail as far as it goes and pursue every available channel including international legal cooperation.
Fees & Pricing
Our fee model is entirely success-based. We charge a percentage of funds successfully recovered — 15% for wallet recovery cases and 20% for scam and fraud recovery cases. The initial case assessment is free. There are no upfront fees, no investigation charges, and no fees of any kind if recovery is unsuccessful.
Only after funds have been successfully recovered and returned to you. Not during the investigation. Not at any point before recovery is confirmed. You receive the recovered amount and our invoice at the same time.
Our fee is calculated on the amount actually recovered. If we recover 60% of your lost funds, our fee applies to that 60% only. Partial recovery is still a meaningful outcome and one we pursue vigorously where full recovery is not possible.
None whatsoever. The percentage shown is the complete fee. There are no investigation fees, no administration charges, no legal costs billed separately, and no expenses passed on to you. The only payment is a percentage of what we successfully recover.
Scam Recovery
Stop all contact with the scammer immediately. Do not send any more funds regardless of what they tell you — any promise of recovering your money in exchange for a further payment is a secondary scam. Preserve all evidence: screenshots, messages, transaction IDs, and wallet addresses. Report the incident to your local fraud authority. Then contact us for a free assessment.
Pig butchering (Sha Zhu Pan) is a long-term investment fraud originating predominantly in Southeast Asia. Scammers build a trust relationship over weeks or months — often posing as a romantic partner or a chance acquaintance — before introducing a fake cryptocurrency investment platform. Victims deposit increasing amounts before the platform disappears. These cases are some of the most common and highest-value cases we handle.
In many cases, yes. Romance scam funds are commonly moved through a limited number of exchanges before being withdrawn. If the funds can be traced to a regulated exchange before withdrawal, a freeze and return is possible. The sooner a case is reported, the higher the probability of recovery. We handle romance scam cases regularly across all our primary markets.
It complicates the process but does not make recovery impossible. We have established working relationships with exchanges and legal channels across 40+ countries. Cross-border recovery typically involves international exchange cooperation and in some cases coordination with law enforcement in multiple jurisdictions — all of which we handle as part of the service.
Wallet Recovery
In most cases, yes. We use specialist password recovery techniques tailored to the specific wallet software involved. The approach depends on the wallet type, how much you remember about the password, and what recovery information is available. Even a partial recollection of your password significantly improves the probability of success.
If the seed phrase is completely lost with no partial information, recovery is extremely difficult. However, if you have some of the words, remember the approximate order, or have any backup or paper records, recovery becomes significantly more viable. We assess every seed phrase case individually — contact us with whatever information you have.
Yes, in many cases. Hardware wallet recovery depends on the type and extent of the damage and whether you have any backup information such as a seed phrase or PIN. Our team has experience recovering data from physically damaged, water-damaged, and electronically failed hardware wallets. Send us the details and we will assess what is possible.
We support all major wallets including MetaMask, Ledger, Trezor, Exodus, Electrum, Multibit, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, and most other software and hardware wallets. If your wallet is not listed, contact us — we assess less common wallets case by case.
Trust & Confidentiality
This is the most important question to ask — and the right one. Our distinguishing marks: we charge zero upfront fees (recovery scammers always ask for payment in advance), our team members are named with verifiable credentials, we have been operating since 2015, and we will tell you if your case is not recoverable rather than take your money. We encourage you to verify everything we say independently before proceeding.
Completely. All case information is handled under strict confidentiality. We never share your identity, financial details, or case information with any third party without your explicit written consent. Our process does not require you to publicise your situation in any way.
No. We only coordinate with law enforcement when you explicitly authorise us to do so. In cases where law enforcement involvement would significantly help recovery prospects, we will recommend it and explain why — but the decision is always yours.
All form submissions are sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Case information is stored securely and accessible only to the assigned case team. We do not retain your data beyond what is necessary for your case, and we comply with applicable data protection regulations across our operating markets.
